The future continuous is used for things which will be in progress at a certain time in the future.

When we use it we need to give reference to the time when the event will be happening:

‘I can’t take your call at 3pm because I will be sitting in a meeting’

It is very good for making arrangements and saying that you will be busy at a certain time in the future:

‘I won’t be able to give you a lift tonight because I will be working’

It is also often used with the phrase ‘this time tomorrow / next week / next year etc.’

‘This time tomorrow we will be sitting on the beach’

‘This time next week I will be starting my new job’
